About

ALEXANDER DEBENHAM

Born in 1983, Alexander spent his childhood in Constable country and has been working in oils from a very young age. He continued to paint throughout university and then during his career in advertising. After a decade working in London, he made the decision to train as a professional artist.

From 2013 to 2015 he studied at Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy. His training was based on drawing and painting from life, using the centuries-old sight-size technique.

Based between London and Suffolk, he specialises in bespoke portraiture and still life, often marrying classical technique with contemporary subject matter. Now an established artist, Alexander's work can be found in private collections throughout the world.
